Dune Awakening Unleashes Lost Harvest DLC and Free Play Weekend Ahead of Major Update

Dune Awakening will drop its first paid DLC, The Lost Harvest, alongside the free Chapter 2 update on September 9, a day ahead of the previously announced schedule. The simultaneous release adds new desert biomes, expanded base-building kits, and the ability to tame and pet kulons, the native pack animals of Arrakis. Players have until maintenance on the 9th to finish the ongoing CHOAM Salvage Rights event and claim its limited-time currency rewards.

Funcom is following the patch with a free-play weekend on Steam that runs from September 11 at 10 a.m. PDT through September 15. Anyone who logs in during the window keeps the new “Shai-Hulud Mural” housing decoration and gains unrestricted access to the open-world survival MMO, including co-op dungeons and the refreshed player-driven economy introduced in Chapter 2. The client preload is already live, letting newcomers patch early before servers open.
