Dungeons and Dragons Online 10th expansion, The Chill of Ravenloft, is live today with Update 75, opening the horror-stricken zone of Lamordia for all subscribers and free-to-play visitors. Players can explore a frost-locked wilderness littered with ruined factories and secret laboratories while taking on 13 new quests, a full open-world area, and a brand-new race: the vampiric Dhampir. Servers were down from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT to deploy the patch; once they are back, you can jump straight into the narrative-driven investigation of mysterious disappearances and gruesome experiments on the northern coast of the Demiplane of Dread.
Standing Stone Games also used the downtime to remind the community of an upcoming technical sunset: 32-bit game worlds will close permanently on August 31, and the legacy 32-bit client will no longer launch after August 27. Players still on older hardware have just over a week to swap to the 64-bit client to preserve access to characters, guilds, and loot. Full release notes are available on the official DDO site.
