Blizzard keeps the Midnight hype flowing from Gamescom 2025 with a short video that officially showcases the Demon Hunter’s third spec, Devourer, and locks in an extra 10 talent points for every class when the expansion arrives.
The new ranged-DPS path positions Devourers as a mobile, void-charged damage dealer whose toolkit centers on a reimagined “voidified Metamorphosis”. The spec’s debut footage shows rapid-fire chaos bolts, shadowy dashes, and point-blank AoE bursts that should shake up the DPS meta alongside traditional Havoc and Vengeance roles.
Those points—earnable after advancing through the three existing tree layers—will unlock new “apex” talents spread across class, specialization, and hero pathways. Blizzard has yet to reveal what the capstone abilities do, but dataminers at Wowhead already list placeholder icons flagged as “Hero Mastery” powers.
For players still entrenched in Classic, Mists of Pandaria Classic opened the Heart of Fear raid yesterday. Blizzard added brand-new 10-player achievements and realm-first titles for both Heart of Fear and Terrace of Endless Spring runs, giving Mythic-era guilds fresh leaderboard bragging rights.
