World of Warcraft’s Midnight Expansion Unleashes Player Housing and Void Conflict in 2026

Blizzard Entertainment has opened worldwide preorders for World of Warcraft: Midnight and locked the expansion’s release window to on or before June 30 2026, confirming an H1 2026 debut promised during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live. Players can now secure housing early access, automatic beta entry and three-day early launch play starting at the Epic-edition price of $90; the Base edition is $50. Check the official preorder page for bundle details.

The second chapter in the Worldsoul Saga sees Azeroth still reeling from Xal’atath and Dimensius, launching adventurers back into the legendary kingdom of Quel’thalas. Silvermoon City becomes the primary player hub (with restricted Horde districts) and entry point to four updated or new zones: Eversong Woods, Zul’Aman, Harandar and the endgame realm The Voidstorm. An opt-in hunting system layered atop these zones scales open-world challenge for solo and group players.

A new allied race arrives in the form of the Haranir, eligible for warrior, hunter, rogue, priest, shaman, mage, warlock, monk and druid. Demon Hunters expand with a mid-range DPS Devourer spec, while PvP enthusiasts can prepare for additional battlegrounds. Mythic raid teams and dungeon delvers can expect traditional endgame alongside updated delves, all supported by the marquee feature of player housing. A robust housing toolset previewed at Gamescom allows placement and decor inside and outside customizable plots, with access granted to every preorder tier.
