Funcom has published the first full content roadmap for the fledgling survival-MMO Dune Awakening, locking in a quarterly cadence of patches and premium DLC that will stretch well into 2026 and culminate in the game’s first expansion and a simultaneous console release.
The schedule begins September 2025 with the free Chapter 2 update, which adds new main-story episodes, a barber-shop style appearance editor, dynamic desert encounters and an overhauled Deep Desert layout. In parallel, the paid Lost Harvest DLC delivers a new vehicle, gear tier, building set and a fresh contract chain reminiscent of Conan Exiles add-ons.
Q1 2026 will then deliver an unnamed free patch focused on current endgame fixes, accompanied by the paid Raiders of the Broken Lands pack. Q2 2026 brings Chapter 4 – details are still under wraps – alongside the third DLC, The Water Wars. Finally, the second half of 2026 will see the untitled first expansion and the previously promised console ports.
Beyond these milestones, Funcom lists long-term priorities such as strengthened Landsraad activities, deeper solo-player options and targeted stability improvements for Deep Desert PvP, including potential no-fly zones and extra region variants. Players can read the full timeline and design notes on the official Steam site.
