Cloud Imperium Games has confirmed that Star Citizen alpha 4.3 will deploy later this month with the L-21 Wolf, a new single-seat light fighter showcased in the latest development update. The build also introduces Onyx Facilities, story-driven locations promising fresh PvE challenges, alongside procedurally generated snowstorms that will affect flight and ground traversal. Additional content includes one new armor set, one new firearm, and the option for players to purchase recently released ships with in-game currency “from now on,” while the studio pledges a parallel increase in earning rates.
Before detailing these features, content director Jared Huckaby dedicated the opening segment of the monthly video to the persistent bugs plaguing freight elevators, which worsened during the Race for Stanton event. CIG reports that 44 elevator-related bugs have been catalogued so far, and the studio has already begun a “directed repair initiative.” The event itself has been extended by one month to compensate for the disruption, and the team emphasizes that elevator fixes will remain a priority for the entire 4.3 development cycle.
Players can expect flight model changes once again in 4.3, continuing CIG’s iterative approach to combat balance. Deliverables for the patch are now in the final stage of testing ahead of the planned release window later in August.
