Nexon has deployed a significant visual and gameplay overhaul for the Fiona character class in its action MMORPG Vindictus. The update, which went live this week, introduces subtle but meaningful changes to the character’s appearance, aligning her visual design more closely with her established lore.
The most notable aesthetic addition is the introduction of faint scars on Fiona’s face, specifically over one eyebrow. These marks are described by the developer as a direct reflection of her “life story as a seasoned mercenary” and her long history of battle. The update also includes a new hairstyle for the character.
Beyond the visual refresh, the patch delivers substantial gameplay adjustments. It introduces a new status effect called Retribution, which is tied to the Active: Taunt skill. This effect increases the player’s Final Damage by 3% per stack, up to a maximum of five stacks for a 15% total increase. The system rewards skillful play: successfully using Taunt grants one stack immediately, and each successful Shield Deflection while the Taunt effect is active adds another. Furthermore, when equipped with a Large Shield, striking an enemy with Stigma Hammer extends the duration of both Taunt and Retribution by five seconds per hit and restores 100 SP with each successful strike, enabling sustained combat performance.
This update is part of a larger patch that also includes character improvements for other classes like Vella, Hurk, Lethor, Evie, and Delia. A new Mileage Shop has been introduced, which functions as a secondary in-game store that rewards players for purchasing cash-shop currency.
