Survival sandbox Craftopia quietly reached its fifth year of early access today, and Pocketpair marked the occasion with a live patch that permanently expands the building sandbox for every Steam player. The headline feature is a set of landscape-shaping blocks designed specifically for the empty flatland island introduced in the June 2024 summer update, letting guilds and solo architects terraform their own archipelagos from scratch.
Alongside the terrain toolkit the anniversary build adds automated turrets, watch towers and modular storage buildings that snap into the new pieces, plus a celebratory single-seat plane blueprint and limited-time decorative props that drop only during September. Steam users can patch immediately; the update weighs in at 2.1 GB and requires no server wipe.
