EVE Online will open candidate submissions for its 20th Council of Stellar Management from 23 September to 7 October, giving capsuleers a two-week window to file their paperwork and campaign vision. Confirmed names will be published on 10 October, kicking off an extended 16-day campaign sprint that runs through 26 October. Voting itself remains open for a full fortnight, 27 October to 10 November, a schedule deliberately widened by CCP Games to deepen pre-election debate and maximise voter turnout in the sci-fi sandbox.
The adjusted timetable is the most significant change for CSM 20; hopefuls now enjoy roughly double the traditional outreach period, while ballots stay live long enough for alliances to coordinate bloc votes without the usual weekend bottleneck. Otherwise the process mirrors previous years: applicants must hold an active Omega account in good standing, disclose all alternate characters, and abide by the latest election rules covering endorsements, real-money trading history, and non-disclosure agreements.
Once elected, the ten-member player council will fly to Reykjavik twice during 2026 for closed-door summits with developers, channeling null-sec sovereignty feedback, industry grievances, and balance concerns directly into the roadmap. The CSM’s last term already influenced the Equinox expansion’s corporation projects and the ongoing surgical strike damage application changes, proving that seats continue to shape New Eden’s power landscape far beyond ceremonial status.
