ArenaNet has released a new developer-led video walkthrough of Guild Wars 2‘s upcoming island homestead, the premium housing instance arriving with the Visions of Eternity update. Senior gameplay engineer Sarah Davies and senior digital marketing specialist Richie Procopio guide players across waterfalls, crystal caves and a beach where giant pineapple Choyas roam, showing how every wall, floor and roof of the bungalow is a separate build piece that can be mixed, matched or deleted on the fly.
The footage confirms that decorating capacity is higher than in Janthir Wilds, while new quality-of-life tools let decorators place duplicates straight from storage, wipe an entire layout with a single click and save entire housing templates for later use. Tech-savvy decorators can even merge multiple saved layouts by editing the underlying XML file, giving the community a first look at the depth of customization that will be possible when the island goes live.
