Star Trek Online players are set for a major narrative update as Season 34: Unleashed brings back two iconic Star Trek actors to reprise their roles. Jeri Ryan returns as Seven of Nine and Jonathan Del Arco returns as Director Hugh, continuing their involvement in the game’s evolving story.
The new season, developed by Cryptic Studios and DECA Games, is scheduled to launch on September 23rd, 2025, for PC, with a console release following on November 11th, 2025.
Season 34 introduces a critical new story episode titled “Best Laid Plans”. In this mission, players will answer a call from Hugh at Deep Space 9 to undertake a daring extraction mission targeting the Aetherian leader Thaseen-Fei. The operation aims to dismantle the Aetherian threat and features collaboration with Seven of Nine and other allies.
Accompanying the episode is a new five-player Space Task Force Operation (TFO), “Shattered Peace”. This TFO tasks players with defending Khitomer HQ from a siege, repelling enemy incursions in space while Seven of Nine handles threats on the ground. Players will confront rifts, waves of attackers, and even hostile former allies.
This update marks a significant escalation in the game’s ongoing narrative, directly impacting the state of the virtual galaxy and offering challenging new content for captains.
