Solarpunk Multiplayer Alpha Test Launching Soon: What Players Need to Know

Solarpunk, the cozy survival MMO being built by Cyberwave Games and Rokaplay, has quietly moved into its first single-player alpha phase, and backers at the $70 tier can already fly, farm and tinker across its floating-island sandbox. The latest Kickstarter backer update shows four months of progress since May: a proper character editor, early controller support, smarter animal-care systems, extra music tracks and a fresh round of asset polish all made the cut. Studio notes apologise for the long radio silence and promise heavier communication going forward.

Multiplayer testing is the next milestone; the team says it will open those servers “in a few weeks” once it digests alpha feedback and irons out any critical blockers. Cyberwave stresses that more preview rounds are planned before any hint of an official launch date, so calendars stay firmly in pencil for now. If you didn’t back at alpha level, wish-list watchers can keep tabs on new test waves through the project’s Kickstarter campaign hub.
