Fawkes Games has hit the five-month mark since its Gamigo-backed relaunch of the sci-fi MMO Defiance and is now tackling long-standing events and economy-breaking exploits head-on. Every original DLC has already been rolled out for free, server stability has improved, and the first manually rebuilt event rotation is live, with Hulker’s Hell scheduled for October and the remaining seasonal events promised by year-end.
Because the old Trion “Karma” backend that once drove dynamic rewards is no longer accessible, the studio replaced it with hand-tuned drop tables to keep Arkfalls and sieges meaningful. Meanwhile, the team is quietly tracking two urgent issues: a fire-rate exploit that is inflating DPS logs and a separate duplication glitch that is pushing scrip prices to unsustainable highs. Account bans are expected once the final logs are verified.
Players running 32-bit clients were already locked out in July when Easy Anti-Cheat was patched in, and today’s update confirms that the stricter policy will stay in place as Fawkes continues its post-relaunch clean-up sprint. Full details are posted on the official site for anyone monitoring the health of the new-old San Francisco Bay Area.
