August 26, 2025 – Sandbox Interactive has deployed Albion Online Abyssal Depths Patch 4, delivering a fresh trio of Crystal offhands alongside a sweeping combat balance pass that recalibrates nearly every offensive option in the open-world sandbox MMO. The update introduces a Crystal Shield, Torch, and Tome—each designed to synergise with the recently unveiled Crystal weapon line—giving theory-crafters and shot-callers new build paths ahead of the next season.
Balance decisions also address longstanding pain points. Forced dismounts no longer award cleanse or crowd-control immunity; instead, anyone knocked off a mount near combat receives a short debuff that leaves them vulnerable to follow-up stuns or roots. Ox mounts that players had repurposed into scout screens have been nerfed, eliminating the last safe outrider role in large-scale encounters.
The patch touches every weapon class, with damage, cooldown, and ability radius adjustments already reflected in the full changelog. Crafters can begin forging the new Crystal offhands immediately in major cities, and existing loadouts can be tweaked without additional re-specialisation costs thanks to Albion’s free-gear-respec system.
