Lord of the Rings Onlineās progression landscape is shifting fast this week. On Wednesday, 27 August 2025, the Angmar and Mordor progression servers unlock Isengard expansion content and raise their level ceiling to 75, extending the timeline for every character on those worlds. Competitors can chase world-first glory in Tower of Orthanc raid race events on Thursday, while a new Ringwraith foe is slated to appear across Middle-earth in the coming weeks for additional high-level challenge.
Meanwhile, Standing Stone Games is sunsetting the last remnants of the 32-bit era. The unsupported 32-bit legacy client ceases to function on 27 August, followed by the permanent closure of all 32-bit legacy realms on 31 August. SSG confirms that characters still residing on these worlds can later be revived through future transfer events if players miss the imminent deadline. Players affected by the shutdowns are encouraged to migrate before the window closes to avoid disruption to kinships, shared vaults, and end-game progression.
All changes apply to both Steam and stand-alone LOTRO clients; only 64-bit installations remain supported after 31 August.
