Insane Studios has launched the first of three back-to-back test rounds for the full-loot PvP sandbox MMORPG Profane. Early-access participants can already explore the build running from August 20 through August 22, focusing on immediate combat feel, server stability, and iterative content.
This initial cycle introduces fully revamped character creation, upgraded character models, and a move to a newer Unity engine revision. Gatherers will also notice new mining and harvesting professions, smoother gathering-combat transition animations, and discoverable combat skills that broaden build diversity. Back-end optimisations are expected to bring sharper hit registration and reduced desync in large battles.
The second test, still without a hard schedule, will layer in bug fixes and further performance tuning, while a third round already on the roadmap will expand the playable landmass from three regions to six, add a basic party system, sailing, and fresh mobs, resources, and raid-grade encounters. All three sessions remain under strict NDA and are managed exclusively through the official Profane Discord.
